My Oskia Skincare Collection

I reckon it’s about time that I gave you my thoughts on the Oskia products I got last year for my birthday. A year has passed, and I’ve now developed a firm view on these three products, two of which made up Oskia Skincare’s Renaissance Collection.

This is a brightening mask: it gently (very gently, no tingling at all) exfoliates your skin with natural AHA derived from fruit, and it also leaves it soothed and boosted, stimulating skin regeneration. I never experienced any redness after using this or any irritation unlike most other exfoliating masks.

The effects are not dramatic, in my opinion, but it does make your skin look very fresh and pampered, not dry at all. The more you leave it, the better the results. It has a lovely pink colour, a very subtle fragrance, and it turns white when massaged on the skin. It’s very expensive so I would suggest that you try a sample before getting the full size. Sample sizes can be found through YouBeautyBox, which is a service that sends you mini sizes of products for a monthly fee.

You’re probably already familiar with this product. I love it and I always recommend it when people look for a good, proper cleanser. It’s a gel-oil cleanser, which I use either in the morning or as a second cleanse. Georgie Cleeve, the founder of Oskia, recommends leaving it on for a while, to get the most out of it. I usually don’t have much time, but it’s a good idea, considered the amazing ingredients in it (Vitamins A,C and E, as well as pumpkin enzymes) and its high price tag.

I reckon it would work well on all skin types. The best option is to remove it with a face cloth, but you can also just rinse it off with water. Your skin is left clean, without any stripping effect, and bright, which is why I absolutely love it. A little goes a long way – I have had mine since November of last year and I’m still using it (I have obviously used other cleansers too…). I wish I could tell how much is left just by looking at the bottle though!

I never thought I would buy a physical exfoliator, after being used to chemical ones. This was a free gift so I was happy to try it. The grains are very tiny, and the texture is quite creamy. You only need a tiny amount of water to emulsify it, then you gently massage it on the skin for as long as you want. I always insist on applying it to my forehead, on the sides of my nose and on my chin. What makes it special is that it doesn’t leave your skin irritated at all, but rather nourished, soft and calm, which is quite unusual for an exfoliator. Definitely a product that does its job well, with no side effects. I have also used it combined with the Renaissance Mask and I had no problems.
